Video Training

Much of a player's development is done outside the rink. With video training, players can establish an effective exercise routine and improve their stick-handling in the comfort of their own home. Talent cannot be taught, but training smart and being disciplined goes a long way. Following Johnny's exercise and stick-handling videos each week allows for more hours of quality training and will help maximize the potential of any player.

Check out the example videos below!

Johnny demonstrates an RFE Split Squat. It’s essential that players go through a deep range of motion in these exercises. Getting deep into the squat builds up the quads, hamstrings, glutes, all being crucial muscles that hockey players need developing. Focusing on good form and attaining the proper depth (90 degree knee angle) helps to build good habits that players can take to the ice.

Johnny takes us through a stick handling drill, working on a backhand toe-drag. This can be a useful move when gliding forward on the ice and needing to move through traffic. Improve the technique off the ice and use it to create more scoring opportunities in game situations.
